I'm an Ann Arbor, MI based designer specializing in building strong brands and businesses through carefully crafted design.

After working in downtown Boston as a senior graphic designer at Cakewalk, a music software development company, I recently took on a position as an in-house Art Director for high-end speaker manufacturer, Leon Speakers in Ann Arbor, MI. As busy as it keeps me, though, I'm always looking for more projects, of any different size or shape. Drop me a line!

My Approach

STRATEGY

At the start of any good design project is a good strategy - a clear understanding of what the objectives are and figuring out the best way to achieve them. Even if you’re not sure what your strategy is, I can help define it in concrete terms - whether it’s developing a creative brief, outlining your project’s goals, or scheduling milestones to guide the way. Even if you need help budgeting your project to see how far it can go (and still be fiscally responsible), I’m happy to lend a hand.

DESIGN

With a thorough and thoughtful approach to design, I always look for the simplest way to communicate your strategy. I love working on projects of all shapes and sizes: everything from defining a new brand experience to designing a coffee table book about coffee tables to coming up with flexible page designs for large scale websites. I also love working collaboratively to come up with new ideas and new design directions to take - more often than not, this approach can lead to surprising results.

DEVELOPMENT

Execution is often the crucial final step in producing good design - all the way down to the smallest details. Ensuring that print pieces are perfectly aligned and color matched, testing website code across every browser and smart phone under the sun - the nitty gritty work that makes sure your work just works. It’s the final step to take and it can be a really exciting moment to finally hold an album in your hands or see your website spring to life on the internet.
